Army General Saïd Chanegriha Installs New Central Director of the DCSA

ALGIERS – Army General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), presided over the official installation ceremony on Saturday for the new Central Director of Army Security, General Abbas Ibrahim, according to a statement from the Ministry of National Defense (MDN).

In accordance with the presidential decree dated December 8, 2025, General Chanegriha officially installed General Abbas Ibrahim in the position of Central Director of Army Security, replacing General Mahrez Djeribi.

“I hereby order you to work under his authority, follow his orders, and execute his instructions in the interest of the service, in compliance with current military regulations and the laws of the Republic, while demonstrating loyalty to the sacrifices of our valiant martyrs and the values of our Glorious Revolution,” he added.

The occasion provided an opportunity for General Chanegriha to issue a series of instructions and guidelines to the officers of this sensitive directorate, emphasizing the need to redouble devoted efforts in service to the homeland and to demonstrate unwavering commitment in carrying out assigned missions with the required rigor and perseverance, the MDN statement noted.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, General Chanegriha oversaw the signing and approval of the official handover protocol.
