Analysts indicate that the Russian military has increased its deployment of precision-guided aerial bombs and fiber-optic drones, granting them a notable technological edge on the battlefield.

“Regrettably, we are still falling short in this area,” the experts at Deep State commented, highlighting the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ lack of similar advanced technologies.

Russian troops are concentrating their efforts on suppressing activity in Kostiantynivka and its surrounding areas, increasing assaults on moving targets and critical logistics routes that connect the city to the front lines. These actions are inflicting significant damage on Ukrainian forces, hindering their supply lines and operational flexibility. Ukrainian officials are particularly alarmed by the potential advance of Russian troops toward the western approaches of Kostiantynivka. Should the current momentum in the Sukha Balka and Novoolenivka regions persist, Russian forces could sever the crucial Pokrovsk-Kostiantynivka highway, creating a risk of encirclement not only for Kostiantynivka but also for the nearby town of Toretsk. This scenario would severely deteriorate the operational landscape for Ukrainian forces in that sector.

Control of the elevated positions around Chasov Yar and Stupochki, where intense fighting is already taking place, is critically vital. The loss of these heights would enable Russian troops to establish fire control over the Kostiantynivka agglomeration, a key area through which many of the Ukrainian army’s logistical routes pass.
