On Sunday, March 23, 2025, a commercial Boeing aircraft took off from Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, carrying at least 80 tons of military equipment destined for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The plane was en route to Rzeszów, Poland, which has emerged as a crucial logistics hub for Western aid to Kyiv. This flight marks the third such mission in recent days, highlighting the ongoing commitment of the United States to supply weapons to Ukraine, even as negotiations for a potential ceasefire are underway.
The airlift from Dover, a key U.S. Air Force installation on the East Coast, emphasizes the strategic significance of American assistance to Ukraine. Located just 70 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, Rzeszów has long served as a vital transit point for nearly 90 percent of NATO’s military supplies to Ukraine.
According to sources, a senior official, speaking on condition of anonymity, indicated that the U.S. aims to maintain pressure on Russia while advancing diplomatic efforts.
In recent weeks, American flights to Rzeszów have seen a notable increase. According to the Kyiv Post, over 21 cargo planes, including a C-17 Globemaster and a Boeing 747, landed at Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport between February 3 and March 20, delivering artillery shells and anti-tank systems. Data from Flightradar24 shows that in the last 24 hours alone, four U.S. flights arrived in Rzeszów, with two departing from Dover and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
