Mokarmane chairs with Bogdanov the third session of the Algerian-Russian consultations in Moscow

Algeria – The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Mr. Lounas Mokarmane, made a visit yesterday, Wednesday, to Moscow, to chair the third session of the Algerian-Russian political consultations, jointly with his counterpart, Mr. Mikhail Bogdanov, Special Envoy of the Russian President to the countries of Africa and the Middle East, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister. , according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The source explained, “On the occasion of this meeting, the two parties discussed the reality of the bilateral relations that bind the two countries and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, within the framework of continuing to implement the Declaration of In-depth Strategic Partnership, signed on the occasion of the visit of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to Russia in June 2023.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement added: “The agenda of this session also allowed for the exchange of visions and positions on a number of current issues raised at the regional and international levels, especially developments in the situation in the Sahel region, the occupied Palestinian territories, and the Sahrawi issue.”
