Algerian Red Crescent: sending 162 tons of humanitarian aid to our Palestinian brothers

Blida – On Friday, the Algerian Red Crescent sent 162 tons of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian brothers through the military air base in Boufarik (Blida), as an extension of the air bridge that it launched during the past few days.
The head of this humanitarian organization, Ibtissam Hamlawi, explained in a statement to the press on the sidelines of this operation that “in implementation of the orders of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to extend the air bridge and intensify the provision of aid to the brothers in the Gaza Strip, today a second batch of food aid was shipped, valued at 162 tons passed through the military base in Boufarik, heading towards Al-Arish Airport in Egypt.
The same spokeswoman added that the volume of aid that Algeria has sent to the Palestinian brothers since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip amounted to 310 tons.
In this regard, Mrs. Hamlawi confirmed that the Algerian Red Crescent is in constant contact with its Palestinian and Egyptian counterparts to determine the needs and the way they reach the Gaza Strip, which are particularly food supplies, followed by medical devices, medicines and tents, especially in light of the imposed closure. On the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the Zionist aggression.
On March 24, the Algerian Red Crescent sent 150 tons of humanitarian aid to our Palestinian brothers through the military base in Boufarik, in implementation of “the orders of the President of the Republic,” according to a statement by this body.
