Ramallah (Occupied Palestine) – On Monday, the Palestinian presidency expressed its strong rejection of any suspicious attempts to assign former British Prime Minister Tony Blair or others to work to displace Palestinian citizens from the Gaza Strip, considering this a condemnable and rejected act.
The Palestinian Presidency said, according to what was reported by the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa), that it will call on the British government not to allow this tampering with the fate and future of the Palestinian people. It will also call on the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, to do everything possible in order not to allow such acts that violate the law. International law and international legitimacy, which represents an intervention and action that only serves the interests of the Zionist entity and harms the Palestinian people and their rights and forces them to abandon their land.
It added, “It seems that Tony Blair is completing the Balfour Declaration issued by the British government with American participation, which established the tragedy of the Palestinian people and ignited dozens of wars in the region,” considering Blair “an undesirable person in the Palestinian territories.”
Media sources had reported that Blair was heading a team to work on the voluntary evacuation of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and holding meetings and consultations with a number of countries to examine their position on receiving Palestinian refugees.
