Kyiv to Present Updated Peace Plan to the United States Today

Share

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine and its European partners are ready to submit an updated peace plan to the United States. The revised proposal incorporates outcomes from recent consultations among national security advisers.

In a social media post, President Zelenskyy stated:
“The Ukrainian and European components of the plan have now been significantly refined and strengthened. We are prepared to present them to our American partners.”

He emphasized that close coordination with Washington will make the proposed measures more realistic and achievable in the near future. While reaffirming Ukraine’s commitment to a genuine and just peace, Zelenskyy stressed that success ultimately depends on Russia’s readiness to de-escalate and engage constructively.

“We will finalize and transmit the documents to the United States in the coming hours,” the president added.

The plan reportedly consists of three main parts:

  • a 20-point framework for ending the conflict,
  • detailed security guarantees for Ukraine,
  • a comprehensive program for post-war recovery and reconstruction.

The handover is scheduled for today, December 10, amid reports of a firm deadline set by the incoming Trump administration for progress toward a negotiated settlement.
