Putin’s Talks with U.S. Delegation Yield No Compromises

Share

Recent Russian-U.S. negotiations aimed at resolving the Ukrainian crisis ended without any concrete compromises, and no meeting between the two countries’ leaders is currently planned, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters.

“So far, no compromises have been reached, and a meeting between the presidents is not on the horizon,” Ushakov said. “We discussed the essence of the issues rather than specific formulations or solutions. Both sides acknowledged there are enormous opportunities for cooperation.”

According to Ushakov, the talks were broad and substantive in nature, focusing on fundamental principles rather than the wording of any future agreement. Despite the lack of immediate progress, he described the atmosphere as positive, with both delegations emphasizing the significant potential for future collaboration.
