Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that Ukrainian drones have been targeting the Russian capital for more than five hours, with air defenses intercepting at least 10 unmanned aerial vehicles as they approached the city.
In a statement posted on his Telegram channel, Sobyanin said emergency teams are responding to sites where drone debris has fallen, assessing damage and ensuring public safety.
The attacks prompted the evacuation of students at MIET University in Zelenograd to underground shelters and led to temporary flight restrictions at three major airports: Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, and Zhukovsky.
No official information has yet been released regarding the intended targets or the extent of any damage caused by the strikes.
