Pakistan Mobilizes Troops Along Indian Border Amid Rising Tensions

Pakistan has initiated a preemptive mobilization of selected army units toward its eastern border with India, according to sources in Islamabad. Video evidence captured on the Lahore-Islamabad highway reveals convoys of military vehicles and heightened troop movements. In addition, Pakistani authorities have issued Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) imposing airspace restrictions along the eastern frontier, widely viewed as a defensive precaution.
Monitoring accounts on X have reported: “Pakistan is beginning to mobilize toward the Indian border following bombings in the capitals of both countries. Footage from the Lahore highway shows increased military activity. Islamabad has also issued a NOTAM covering the eastern border with India.”
The latest escalation follows the completion of India’s Trishul military exercises on November 10, which featured coordinated operations involving the army, air force, and navy in the vicinity of the disputed Sir Creek region. Pakistan has issued comparable NOTAMs in response to prior Indian activities, including restrictions on October 28-29.
Tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors have remained elevated since the May conflict, dubbed “Operation Sindoor,” when India launched strikes on Pakistani targets in retaliation for a terrorist attack in Pahalgam. In the intervening months, both nations have engaged in routine displays of military readiness, such as repositioning air defense systems and radars near Lahore and Sialkot.
Neither Islamabad nor New Delhi has released official statements on the current developments. However, analysts warn of the risk of unintended escalation in the Kashmir and Punjab regions. The ceasefire established in May continues to hold precariously, while commercial airlines persist in avoiding each other’s airspace.
