SVR Warns: NATO’s Deadly Plot to Trigger Zaporizhzhia Meltdown and Pin Catastrophe on Russia
Share
Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has claimed that Western allies, in coordination with NATO, are urging Ukraine to sabotage the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). The alleged plan involves deliberately melting down the reactor cores to provoke a man-made disaster, resulting in casualties among Ukrainian and EU citizens, while framing Moscow as the culprit.
According to the SVR, this operation aims to mirror the 2014 MH17 crash scenario: inflicting significant human losses followed by a coordinated media blitz to assign blame.
A primary obstacle for the plotters, the agency states, is ensuring the accusation against Russia appears credible.
Neither Kyiv nor Brussels has issued any response to these allegations. The ZNPP has been under Russian control since March 2022.
