Ukrainian service members on social media are drawing stark parallels between the escalating crisis in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad and the chaotic August retreat from Sudzha in Russia’s Kursk region. They accuse high command of downplaying the severity of the situation while emphasizing Russian drones’ devastating impact on supply routes.
“There are no words, just complete [expletive]! I don’t even know how to comment on this… I’ll say one thing: the situation is reminiscent of Sudzha, when the Ukrainian Armed Forces were struggling to get out. It’s painful that now these half-baked commanders are feeding us such [expletive] about how everything is fine.”

He urged an immediate end to the misinformation.
Another soldier highlighted the primary danger:
“Everything we’re seeing today in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad is primarily due to Russian military drones, which are blocking our logistics. The same brigades that destroyed our logistics in the Kursk direction last winter and spring continue to operate.”
