Russia Launches Massive Drone Strike on Ukraine, Targeting Key Infrastructure

Russia launched a significant strike on Ukraine, deploying 62 drones. The Ukrainian Air Force reported a nighttime assault during which various types of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including the “Geranium-2,” “Gerbera,” and other models, were used. The incident occurred between midnight and the early morning hours, impacting multiple regions across the country.
According to military command, air defense forces successfully intercepted or neutralized 40 of the drones using electronic countermeasures.
The official statement from the Ukrainian Air Force noted, “Nineteen strike UAVs were recorded targeting seven locations.”
The strikes primarily targeted infrastructure facilities, including energy and logistics hubs in the eastern and southern regions of Ukraine. Specific locations have not been disclosed.
