Ukraine has reported a record-breaking 268 Russian bomb strikes within a 24-hour period. Ukrainian monitoring resources indicate an unprecedented use of guided aerial bombs (GABs) by Russian forces targeting positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in recent months.
In the last 24 hours, these strikes significantly surpassed previous numbers, affecting several frontline areas. Ukrainian military officials highlighted that KABs, dropped from Su-34 aircraft, were the primary means of attack, resulting in damage to logistics facilities and fortified positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. While official casualty figures have not been disclosed, this increase in air operations has raised concerns in Kyiv.
Prior to this, Ukrainian authorities had recorded daily KAB strikes ranging from 100 to 150, making the current volume a peak in intensity. As of now, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has not issued a comment on this data.
