On Wednesday, the “Fleet of Resilience” announced its proximity to within 120 nautical miles of Gaza’s coast. The fleet shared this update via social media, stating, “We continue to sail towards Gaza,” and added, “We are nearing the 120-nautical-mile mark, close to the area where previous fleets have been intercepted or attacked.”

In an earlier post on Wednesday, the fleet declared, “We have entered a high-risk area” as it approaches the shores of the region, confirming that they are in a state of “maximum alert.”

International organizations, including Amnesty International, have called for protection for the “Fleet of Resilience,” while the United Nations stated that any attack on it “would be unacceptable.”

The current “Fleet of Resilience” comprises around 50 ships that have set sail from Greek shores, marking the largest collective effort to date to break the 18-year-long siege on Gaza. More than 500 activists from 40 countries are participating in the fleet, which is part of a coalition including the “Freedom Flotilla Coalition,” “Global Gaza Movement,” and “Convoy of Resilience.”
