Danish Air Force Evacuates F-35 Fighter Jets Amid Rising Drone Threats

Share

The Danish Air Force has evacuated its F-35 fighter jets in response to threats posed by drones. Danish media reports indicate that there have been numerous sightings of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over both military and civilian facilities across the country, including Skrydstrup Air Base, which houses F-16 and F-35 fighter jets. As a precaution, combat aircraft were withdrawn from the airfield, and several airports—Aalborg, Sønderborg, and Esbjerg—temporarily suspended operations.

According to reports, the incidents began on Wednesday evening when unidentified UAVs were observed over Aalborg, which shares a runway with military aircraft. Sources indicate that the situation prompted command to urgently evacuate the jets due to concerns that they could be targeted.
