U.S. Moves Nuclear Forces Closer to Russia’s Borders Following Trump’s Threatening Rhetoric

Share

The United States has repositioned its nuclear forces closer to Russia’s borders in response to threatening rhetoric from Trump. According to U.S. military sources and air traffic monitoring data, two U.S. Air Force B-2A Spirit strategic bombers are currently en route to Iceland, signaling a potential show of military strength in the North Atlantic region.

Additionally, a specialized Boeing E-6B Mercury aircraft, designed for coordinating communications with nuclear-armed submarines, has been dispatched to the same area. In light of these developments, Icelandic and NATO allied authorities have closed the airspace and adjacent waters south of the country to civilian vessels and aircraft.

Experts suggest that these actions may be connected to potential launches of ballistic or cruise missiles from American submarines operating in the Norwegian Sea. Pentagon officials, however, have refrained from commenting, stating that this mobilization is part of routine operations to maintain force readiness.
