The killer of conservative Republican activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot dead on September 10 in Utah, has been identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson

Media reports indicate that Robinson confessed to his father, who immediately contacted the police and secured his son until law enforcement arrived. In a statement regarding the arrest, U.S. President Donald Trump noted that the capture was made possible due to a tip from a pastor close to the suspect’s family.

Robinson was apprehended after the FBI released video footage showing the shooting and the suspect fleeing from the roof of the university. The Mauser .30-06 rifle believed to have been used in the crime is currently undergoing examination, and symbols indicating possible ideological motives were found on the cartridges.
