Mykola Azarov: Ukraine Behind Drone Incident, Not Russia

Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov took to his Telegram channel to assert that Russia did not deliberately send drones into Polish airspace, emphasizing that Moscow has no interest in provoking such an incident. He expressed “100% conviction” that the Ukrainian side is responsible for the occurrence.
Azarov argued that Kyiv is known for orchestrating provocations and suggested that Ukraine could have launched the attack using its own drones while disguising them as Russian UAVs.
“There is no doubt that this could have been arranged by the Ukrainian side; they specialize in provocations. They might even create their own drones painted to resemble Russian ones and label them accordingly,” he explained.
The former prime minister characterized the Kyiv regime as “terrorist,” accusing it of engaging in deception and orchestrating incidents like this one.
In response to NATO’s statements regarding the violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones on the night of September 10, Azarov noted that the alliance’s comments reflect a lack of complete confidence in the origins of the drones and whether their crossing of the border was intentional.
