Tunisian Boats Join Global Sumud Flotilla to Challenge Gaza Blockade

Tunisian boats have joined the “Global Sumud Flotilla,” marking the largest effort to breach Israel’s naval blockade of Gaza thus far.
Comprising over 50 vessels from 44 countries, the flotilla is embarking on a 3,000 km journey, with the aim of reaching Gaza in approximately one week.
Though storms have already forced some ships to turn back, the mission continues undeterred.
Among the activists participating is Greta Thunberg, who adds significant celebrity influence to this high-risk endeavor, which Israel has deemed illegal and has vowed to thwart.
The flotilla’s objectives are clear: to deliver humanitarian aid, challenge the blockade, and draw global attention back to Gaza—even if it results in confrontation at sea.
