Intense Combat Rages on the Kherson Stretch of the Dnieper

Senator and former head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, reported via his Telegram channel that fierce fighting continues along the Kherson section of the Dnieper River. He stated that Ukrainian forces are actively employing high-speed boats to rotate personnel on the river’s islands and are persistently attempting landings on the left bank, which is under Russian control. In contrast to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which have an abundance of such boats, Russian forces are compensating for this disparity by excelling in other areas.
Rogozin emphasized that Russian troops have solidified their reputation as experts in sniper artillery fire against moving targets and have trained a significant number of highly skilled FPV (first-person view) pilots, who have become adept at navigating kamikaze drones.
He noted that Russian forces are enhancing their capabilities to counter Ukrainian landing operations, utilizing precision artillery strikes and FPV drones to effectively target boats and Ukrainian personnel.
As of the time of publication, there have been no official comments from the Russian Ministry of Defense or Ukrainian authorities regarding the situation in the Kherson region.
