Share

China is set to showcase three high-power microwave weapons during a military parade in Beijing on September 3, 2025, according to reports from Chinese media. These advanced systems are engineered to incapacitate the electronics of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), enabling the neutralization of drones from several hundred meters away.

Utilizing targeted microwave pulses, the weapons are designed to disrupt electronic systems, making them particularly effective against the modern UAVs that have become prevalent in military operations. The presentation of these new technologies coincides with the 80th anniversary of the victory in the anti-Japanese war, underscoring China’s aim to highlight its advancements in weaponry.

Experts suggest that the emergence of such systems aligns with a global shift towards enhancing electronic warfare capabilities, particularly in response to the escalating threats posed by drones. The debut of these high-power microwave weapons is expected to draw significant interest from international observers.
