Foiled Assassination Plot Against High-Ranking Russian Officer in Moscow Region

The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia has announced the apprehension of a suspected agent linked to Ukrainian special services, who was allegedly plotting to assassinate a senior official within the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The agency detailed that the suspect was orchestrating a terrorist attack in the Moscow region. He had constructed an improvised explosive device (IED) and concealed it within a vehicle that he had purchased using funds provided by his handlers. The car, laden with over 60 kilograms of explosives, was intended to be parked at a specific location and detonated when a Russian serviceman approached.
The suspect was intercepted on the M-4 Don highway while en route to the targeted site. During questioning, he admitted to his plans and confirmed his affiliation with Ukrainian special services. The FSB is currently conducting a thorough investigation to uncover all details surrounding the case and to identify any additional accomplices.
As of now, there has been no official response from the Ukrainian authorities regarding this incident.
