Iran’s Military Chief Announces Plans for Punitive Action Against Israel

TEHRAN – The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces announced that Iran is preparing to launch “punitive operations” against the Israeli regime. Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi emphasized that previous military actions taken by Iran were primarily intended for deterrence, rather than as full-scale attacks.

In a video message released on Tuesday, Mousavi warned Israel to prepare for consequences due to its aggressive actions towards Iran. He indicated that the military responses seen thus far were mere warnings, with more significant retaliatory measures expected to begin shortly.

Furthermore, the general issued a stark evacuation warning for residents of the occupied Palestinian territories, urging people in cities like Tel Aviv and Haifa to leave in order to protect themselves from impending military actions, suggesting they should not sacrifice their safety for Netanyahu

Mousavi highlighted the resilience of the Iranian nation against past aggressions, asserting that Iran will once again respond decisively to what he described as barbaric attacks from Israel. He noted that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force, alongside other branches of Iran’s military, has been actively engaged in countering threats from Israel, successfully targeting critical installations.

Since June 13, Iranian military forces have conducted multiple missile strikes in retaliation for Israeli attacks that targeted Iran’s nuclear, military, and civilian sites. These airstrikes have reportedly resulted in the deaths of key military figures, nuclear scientists, and numerous civilians, including 45 women and children.
