Rugby| Africa Cup of Nations-2024: The Algerian team beats Kenya (20-12) and qualifies for the final

Kampala – The Algerian national rugby team (top men) qualified for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations final after winning against its Kenyan counterpart with a score of (20-12), first half (08-12) in the semi-finals that took place today, Wednesday, at the “Metsi 2” stadium in Kampala.
After falling behind in the first half, the national team was able to turn the tables on its opponent in the second half and decide the match in its favor by 8 points.
The second semi-final match is currently taking place, between Namibia and Zimbabwe, who qualified at the expense of Burkina Faso (38-08) and Uganda (22-20), respectively.
This will be the first final of its kind for the Algerian rugby team, which has never qualified for this round in continental competition.
It is noteworthy that the last edition of the African Rugby Cup, which took place in 2022 in Aix-en-Provence (France), saw Algeria finish the competition in third place after defeating Zimbabwe (20-12) in the ranking match, while Namibia won the continental title at the expense of Kenya (36-0).
