Algeria and Turkey will continue to deepen their bilateral relations

ALGIERS – The Vice-President of the Republic of Turkey, Cevdet Yilmaz affirmed, Monday in Algiers, that his country was continuing the development and deepening of its relations with Algeria on all levels.
In a statement at the end of the audience granted to him by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Mr. Yilmaz indicated that he had conveyed the greetings of the Turkish President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to the President of the Republic, affirming that “the two brotherly countries will continue the development and deepening of their bilateral relations on all levels.”
In this context, he reviewed the volume of trade between Algeria and Turkey, which reached “6.3 billion dollars”, stressing that the two countries “are getting closer to the objective set for these exchanges, namely 10 billion dollars”.
Regarding the participation of the Republic of Turkey as guest of honor of the 55th Algiers International Fair (FIA), which opened its doors today, Mr. Yilmaz stressed that his country was taking part at this event with a large delegation including representatives of 80 companies, including companies active in Algeria.
Furthermore, Mr. Yilmaz indicated that he had exchanged views with the President of the Republic on several international issues, highlighting “the important role of Algeria in the development of Turkey’s relations with the African continent.”
He Also reaffirmed the cooperation and solidarity uniting the two countries with regard to the Palestinian people, as well as the support they provide them from all international forums.
