Moscow – Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that what is currently happening in the Gaza Strip does not resemble a war, but rather “the complete elimination of the civilian population,” as the Zionist occupation forces continue their aggression against the besieged Strip for the eighth month in a row.
President Putin said during an interview with representatives of foreign news agencies yesterday, Wednesday: “What is currently happening in Gaza does not resemble a war at all. It is tantamount to the complete annihilation of the civilian population.”
He added, “There is hope for establishing a Palestinian state, and no force should monopolize the search for peace in the Middle East,” noting that Russia is “trying to contribute to achieve it .”
He continued, “The United States must also play a major role in achieving peace in the Middle East, but the main role must be played by the countries of the region.”
The Zionist occupation forces have continued their aggression against the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since the seventh of last October, which resulted in the martyrdom of 36,586 Palestinian citizens, the majority of whom were women and children, and the injury of 83,074 others, an infinite toll as thousands of victims are still under the rubble.
