The World Health Organization announces the loss of contact with Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza

New York – The World Health Organization announced at dawn on Sunday that it had lost contact with the people it deals with at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza as a result of the horrific attacks on the hospital, according to what the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported. The organization said in a statement that it “has lost contact with people it deals with in Al-Shifa Hospital, and there is fear for the safety of health workers, patients, injured people, children in nurseries, and numbers of displaced people inside the hospital.” She stressed, “As horrific reports continue to emerge about the hospital being subjected to repeated attacks, we assume that those we deal with there have joined tens of thousands of displaced people who have fled the area.”
