The aggression against Gaza: Colombia preparing for legal proceedings against the Zionist entity

Bogotá – Colombian President, Gustavo Petro, announced that his country is preparing for legal proceedings against the Zionist entity before international courts, due to its barbaric aggression against the Gaza Strip, describing the perpetrators of this “genocide” without accountability as “wretched.” The Colombian president wrote in a post on the “X” website (formerly Twitter): “Those who carried out this can only be described as miserable people and perpetrators of genocide,” referring to the massacres committed by the Zionist occupation army since last October 7th against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. Gaza. He continued: “My government’s legal teams are preparing for (judicial) prosecutions before international courts,” against the Zionist entity.

It is noteworthy that Colombia, a few days ago, summoned its ambassador to the Zionist entity, for consultations, in protest against the massacre committed by the occupation against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and its “violation of international humanitarian law.”

Last Thursday, the Colombian President confirmed his country’s support for the call of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to file a lawsuit before the International Criminal Court against the Zionist entity, which is committing massacres against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

He confirmed in a post on the “X” platform that “The Republic of Colombia will contribute to answering the call of the Republic of Algeria to file a lawsuit with the International Criminal Court against (the Prime Minister of the Zionist entity) for his massacres against children, civilians, and the Palestinian people, and his commission of war crimes.”

Last Monday, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, appealed to “the free people of the world, the Arabs, and international bodies to file a lawsuit before the International Criminal Court and international human rights organizations against the Zionist entity’s violations against the Palestinian people,” stressing that this is “the only way to end decades of Impunity for crimes committed against Palestinians.”
