She stressed “the necessity of a ceasefire and ensuring the sustainable flow of humanitarian aid with the aim of alleviating suffering immediately and concretely,” noting that “failing to address the root causes of the ongoing occupation makes recovery efforts insufficient and short-term.”

She also stressed that “the level of destruction in Gaza is unimaginable and unprecedented,” adding: “As of November 3, estimates indicate that 35,000 housing units have been completely destroyed, and about 220,000 units have been partially damaged.”
