Algeria|CWC in Africa: opening of the “Chemex-Africa” exercise

ALGIERS – Army General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), chaired, Tuesday, at the Pins Maritimes Exhibition Center (Algiers), the opening of the VIP Day of the “Chemex-Africa” exercise intended for States Parties to the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in the African region.
The opening ceremony of this event, organized under the patronage of the President of the Republic, Supreme Head of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, took place in the presence of the Prime Minister, Mr. Aïmene Benabderrahmane, the Director General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, Ambassador Fernando Arias Gonzalez, the Deputy Director General of the Organization, Ambassador Odette Melono, as well as accredited ministers and heads of diplomatic delegations in Algeria from participating countries, as well as high-ranking representatives from African organizations.
